“ First of all the food was AMAZING. I definitely recommend fish base dishes. My favourite things they had were the fish tacos and fish sandwich with sweet potato fries. The service was amazing and they were all so friendly and nice. The atmosphere finished it off with beautiful lighting and cottage core style. Definitely recommend this place. ”
“ Our third year coming to this restaurant during our annual golf trip and it's fantastic! You can tell the place is popular in this area by the amount of walk-ins we noticed. Fantastic food, some good beers to sample and great service. If we lived closer we would frequent the place! Will be back again next year, thanks to the staff for their excellent service and attitudes! Nice to see people smiling and enjoying their work even when the place is packed!!! ”
“ Had an outstanding outing for dinner! Didn't catch the hostesses name, but she was on top of our visit. I had salt and pepper wings with the third degree hot on the side. Wasn't super hot, but tasty hot! We also had the deep fried pickles, coconut shrimp and the breaded mushrooms! Had the Jammin Slammin Burger with the jam and the aioli on the side. Huge amount of fries on the side, needed a take home box! I highly recommend the Hook, Line and Sinker! Mad Tom IPA was also on the menu! ”

“ Stumbled upon a gem! Hands down, one of the best spots I've visited in quite some time. Lovely service with every person I interacted with, and they just happened to be all strong women running the place. A plus, in my opinion! Ambience was a beautiful, clean, cozy, yet upscale environment. Loved the hanging canoes. The burger patty itself was so delicious, seriously so good. It doesn't need the bacon and the fried Mac and cheese bits, but if that's your thing, that's your thing. Looking forward to another visit in the future! ”
“ We were a group of 8 stopping in en route home from a motorcycle trip and were very happy that this place was able to seat us for lunch and get us in/out quickly before the rain started. The waitress was lovely - friendly, witty and attentive. The restaurant is super clean, spacious and I just love that it was open like a garage door at the front with patio seating .. despite the expected rain. The washrooms were so adorable - little private fully enclosed booths - very nice indeed. Parking across the street can be a challenge but certainly ample space. I ordered a lovely crispy chicken burger and onion tangles. LOVED IT. The onion tangles were a special treat - wee bit different than the standard onion ring. They were sweeter and very tasty and weren't greasy like the usual onion ring is, so that was a nice surprise. My husband loved his escargot and wings. Everyone at our table was impressed with their dish and the options of beer was also a big hit. Hope to see you next time we are in the area. ”
“ What a great find in the Haliburtons! We often drive from Ottawa to Muskoka and pass through Haliburton. The drive is spectacular and often we’d stop for lunch in Bancroft however yesterday we decided on something different and dropped in at ‘Hook, Line and Sinker’. We were not disappointed!!! The place is very well designed and has a beautiful patio overlooking the lake. Staff were great....friendly and very attentive. Food was also really good. The place really has an upscale beach vibe to it. We had the Thunder Crunch Chicken Sandwich and Fish’n’Chips....highly recommended! Their burgers and other dishes looked really good too...yes, we peaked around. Unfortunately we never took a photo of our food as we were too hungry....sorry. The fish was like I’ve never had before....extremely lightly breaded and I had the Halibut. Was hoping I could do a 2 piece and try the Pickerel but they won’t split up an order. No big deal. Their fries are as close to the best chip truck fries that you’ll find! We’ll be back for sure to try other menu items.... ”
“ Small town diner with big flavor ! Meal portion perfect. Prices on par. Flavor just right. The service was on fleek! Everyone left very satisfied. Was serviced mid day on a Saturday with a full dinner and the crew behind the scene did a fantastic job in getting the plates out in adequate time and hot. Most impressed. The front lime staff all very friendly. Their team are very efficient and ran by great management. Only slight hiccup was table shape for large group when one needs to combine multiple tables togetger, but that nothing to complain about. But overall, I would highly recommend this location and to top it off. They even accommodate for your furry friends with a lovely outdoor dining section and their very own special menu ! Looking forward for another visit ! A big plus was cleanliness of the whole facility, especially the washrooms ! Multiple individual washrooms for your privacy. Very well done ! Parking can sometime be a bit of a challenge as it's either street parking or off the water lot but shared among many service providers along the same street. Location is prime area for this town. Lots to see and do. ”
